A Letter from Leslie Spira Lopez
September 24, 2026
Dear Kew Community,
As we begin a new season, there is much to celebrate at Kew and across NoMad and Flatiron. Occupancy rates at Kew properties are back to pre-pandemic levels, with a remarkable mix of businesses and people that reflects the strength, diversity, and creativity of our community, the district that inspires.

The momentum we are enjoying extends throughout our neighborhood. Leasing activity remains strong, office availability continues to decline, and Flatiron NoMad taxable sales have surpassed $1 billion, the highest of any NYC district. New restaurants, hotels, shops, showrooms, wellness destinations, and businesses continue to open their doors, while people are returning to the neighborhood in record numbers.
This summer gave us another reason to celebrate, with the second annual NoMad Jazz Festival, produced by The NoMad Alliance. Free performances throughout NoMad and in Madison Square Park brought together artists, businesses, neighbors, New Yorkers, and visitors for an extraordinary week of music and community. Planning is already underway for the NoMad Jazz Festival 2027.
For over 70 years, Kew has had the privilege of being an integral part of this neighborhood. Our current strength is part of a much larger story of growth and reinvention that continues to evolve season after season.
Kew knows NoMad & Flatiron.
And we are proud to call it home.
Thank you for being part of the Kew community. We look forward to sharing another wonderful Fall season with you.
