Avenues The World School expands NoMad office space

Avenues: The World School has expanded its NoMad office space at 11 East 26th Street. Avenues World Holdings, the company behind Avenues, already occupies 10,000 square feet in the building, but the new lease will expand the space to over 24,000 square feet, spread over the 16th and 17th floors. According to Commercial Observer, the property has an asking price of $68 per square foot.

The broker for the deal, James Buslik, told Commercial Observer via a spokesperson, “Avenues: The World School is an extremely prominent school system that provides students with unparalleled education and a strong support system. We are pleased that Avenues Holdings has decided to expand their space for their headquarters at 11 East 26th Street. We are looking forward to their continued growth.”

And grow the school will. While Avenues: The World School has plans of expanding to over 20 locations worldwide, the private school says it will keep its NoMad office as the official headquarters. The original campus, located at 259 10th Avenue in Chelsea, houses a K-12 school, pre-K facilities and a nursery school. The Manhattan campus is also under expansion, as Avenues Holdings finalizes a lease on 540 West 26th Street. The nursery school, pre K program and kindergarten program will move to the new 26th Street location, allowing space for all of Avenues’ programs to operate at full capacity.
