NoMad is gaining another high-profile tenant. Nike has signed an 11-year lease in the upcoming tower at 855 Sixth Avenue, on the corner of Sixth Avenue and 30th Street. 855 Sixth Avenue will have a total of 42 stories.
Nike has leased all of the building’s 147,000 square feet of office space for $78 per square foot. The athletic-wear company will occupy the building’s third through sixth floors, as well as part of the second floor. In addition to Nike’s offices, it will feature a ground-floor retail space and a residential tower.
Nike’s new office contains highly desirable features, such as double-height ceilings on the sixth floor and a 15,000 square foot outdoor deck, to which Nike will have exclusive access. We saw similar benefits for Anheuser-Busch, which will have exclusive roof access and a private entrance at its 119-125 West 24th Street marketing office.
With so many tremendous residential developments happening in NoMad at the moment, it is exciting to see that major national brands are flocking to the neighborhood with equal enthusiasm.
